7/2/2012 Subfertility Teaching 03 Feb 2012

ACU organised the regional postgraduate teaching at the Jessop Wing on Friday 3 Feb 2012. The lectures are available as downloads from this page.

The South Yorkshire Postgraduate teaching programme on Friday 3rd February was on the topic of Subfertility. 

Jonathan Skull, Consultant in Reproductive Medicine, started off the afternoon with a lecture on the causes, investigation and managment options in subfertility. 

Moses Batwala, Specialist Registrar, then gave a talk on the management of hydrosalpinges and reported a case of a successful pregnancy following hysteroscopic occlusion of hydrosalpinges with ADIANA.  This is the first reported success of this technique in Europe. 

Jonathan ended the afternoon with an update on the current NHS funding situation and referral pathways.
