Strategy to reduce multiple births

This project involves a questionnaire for couples attending for embryo transfer. We will also analyse the data on our single embryo transfers in the clinic.

One in three IVF briths result in a multiple pregnancy (more than one foetus). There are several risks associated with multiple births including low birth weight, and increased risk of Cerebral Palsy. This project aims to assess patient's views on the use of elective single embryo transfer, how many patients are aware of preferred outcome of a single healthy child, and how we can improve our information that patient's receive.
