Reproductive and Developmental Biology
The University of Sheffield's Academic Unit of Reproductive and Developmental Medicine, headed by Dr Allan Pacey, are pioneers in many areas of reproductive research.
These include: Chlamydia and sperm function; embryo communication with its maternal surroundings and the effect of the immune system on the embryo.
Collaborations with Jessop Fertility started in 2011 with the department using embryos donated to research by patients having IVF treatment in the clinic.
